The 2:40 hour flight took us right over Stavenger Norway. I may have had a bit of liquid in my eyes as I spotted it and realized I would be setting foot on this country's soil in a couple of days. The purpose of this journey is to connect to my Norwegian roots. My mom's dad Julius Kvale immigrated to Canada from Lillihammer Norway in the late 1890's.
