I took a photo of Bill taking a photo of the statue
Sadly, this little statue has been vandalized so often that most of its original parts are replaced.
We started walking back to the hotel, through the downtown area. The map shows the route we should have taken.
However, after we walked the downtown area and did some shopping, we took a bridge over untroubled water, turned left aiming for another bridge, which turned out to be under construction and not connected to the other side yet. We eventually turned around, walked the length of the greenway to cross over yet another bridge & back to the hotel. Siri kept yelling at us to get back on the main road, but we preferred the path in the park. We walked many steps and my Fitbit was happy.
We saw many beautiful buildings and discovered many dead end streets.
Bill kept rescuing me as I constantly stepped off the curb and into a bike lane. I was watching for cars.
I was getting very thirsty about now, and so was Bill. When he asked if I wanted to stop for a coffee, I didn't realize it was his code for 'I'd like to stop for a beer'. I declined, saying I just need some water but didn't want to pay $5.00 for a bottle of H2ONG (water, no gas...i.e. no bubbles). He promptly scooped a handful of icecubes from the en plein air bar and we each had a mouthful to keep us cool. (insert giggle here)
After a bit of refreshment & a last view out our hotel window, it was time to head to the ship. bye Copenhagen 💗
The locals were out enjoying the hot weather and swimming pool. What an amazing lifestyle, seemed to be enjoyed to the fullest.
