If you've ever watched and scoffed at the TV show "Extreme Christmas" or something similar where they show all the houses that are decorated to the point of absurd, well be forewarned....
I could easily be labelled with the title.
In fact, I have been labelled by my son-in-law as "A Christmas Crazy".
I love decorations.... the tacky, the cute, the symbolic.
I can't go into a store after Christmas, and NOT buy some leftover ornaments. It makes me sad to think they don't have a home to go to.
I've stopped going to stores after Christmas.
I've actually said (in front of witnesses) that I have too much Christmas stuff.
I never thought I'd ever say that.
But, after hauling the 40 totes (we're talking the big, big ones with hinges) from the 3 foot attic space, into the loft and down the stairs....I admit I'm done collecting.
Vanessa has a theory which is probably bang on....she says I never had to haul the totes from the attic, storage locker, basement or garage. I just wiggled my nose and Bob would haul them in. I'd unpack what I wanted and he'd haul them back from whence they came, until I had to pack them up again and he'd have to haul them (full) back to the attic, locker, basement or garage.
Attached are some photos of my tiny cabin decorated with most (but not all) of my decorations. You see, I haven't decorated completely for 3 Christmases. I needed to bring everything out with the hope that I could cull and donate some this year. I couldn't do it. Maybe next year.....maybe I can whittle it down to...let's try 39 totes.
Enjoy the photos!

Mom,
Your cabin looks festive & cozy on any given day but especially with your Christmas collection....and I'm not saying that just because I helped you decorate :-)
Here's to 1 less tote next year!
Oh Michelle - how fun to see your home all decked out again! I can't relate at all, but admire your devotion :)
Much love
Anne
