We have possessed our house for 19 sleeps (or is it that the house has possessed us??) – where does the time go? We are still sleeping in Qualicum Beach; but ‘living’ in Bowser.
As in….all the activity has been happening there.
Let’s see what have we (that would be the Royal We) done so far?
replaced a leaky dishwasher
installed a new washer & dryer (front loading high-efficiency – good for septics -- minimum water waste)
Replaced the kitchen sink
replaced the taps in kitchen & bath sinks
removed all the memorabilia from the attic (found a UI booklet for a previous occupant – dated 1963! Did they have unemployed people back then??)
Purchased a woodstove, which prompted the following:
Bob (and brother in law Sveinn) have
torn down 2 interior walls
pulled miles of electrical cable back to the panel
re-insulated the exterior walls
built 2 sets of exposed beams to support a ceiling in the expanded living room
removed one interior door
framed an interior doorway that will lead upstairs (when the stairs are built)
removed an exterior door & window to be covered in siding next year
removed excess baseboards
removed the laminate flooring that was NOT glued to the concrete slab – promoting lots of excess moisture
And just for something extra: tore down the exterior privacy fence to allow the furniture to be moved in just a little bit easier
Stay tuned for more!

Three more days until your "muscle" arrives to help you move. That's hilarious about the UI booklet!! Chris and I are really excited to see the changes that you've done to your country house. See you Friday night!
So what are you guys doing in your "spare time"?
ha ha ha
Yikes! That's a lot of work for a couple of weeks.
But when its all said and done, you can happily settle in and enjoy yourselves.
Hey there mom2!
Would you mind if I add a link to your blog on my site?
(Makes it easier for me to check your blog for posts!)
Ness's is alread on there, that way my mom, Cheryl and Rebecca (Hogan) all check Ness's site from mine.
You also get more readers that way--if you don't mind that--
