ChrisNess arrived! Barely had time to change the sheets on the guest bed before our kids arrived on Friday night. It is always such good fun to have them here. Chris checks out the pantry for goodies, while Ness finds her ‘comfy country clothes’ and sheds the city duds for the weekend.
As it happened, we were able to view the Bowser house for the first time while they were here. It got the thumbs up from them (after all, it is their inheritance), however as Chris pointed out "Christmas in Bowser just doesn’t have the same ring to it as Christmas in Qualicum".
We celebrated our find at a good restaurant in Parksville – ironically our landlords’ had given us a gift certificate for the place!
The kids were generous with their island time, and caught the late afternoon ferry home on Sunday. Time goes by too quickly when these city birds arrive! It will be a longer drive to the ferry when we move, but always worth it!
